81 Gazawis have been killed since Tuesday 8th 2014 and more than 700 have already been injured including women, children and the elderly.
Protests are being organized in cities all around the world to respond to the bombing of Gaza and the ongoing genocide on the Palestinian people.
Yesterday afternoon at least 200 people rallied at the Sant Jaume Plaza in Barcelona, Catalunya, to demand an end to the bombing of Gaza and require that the Catalan government and Barcelona city government suspend all commercial, scientific, and cultural exchange with the State of Israel and join the International Boycott, Disinvestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which began in 2005 as an initiative of Palestinian civil society.
Yesterday’s protest organizers were members of the Catalunya BSD group. Last year they began a campaign, “No More Complicity with Israel” to denounce the role that Israel plays in the design, investigation, implementation, and sale of different systems of repression to various countries in the world. Today, a number of companies and Spanish corporations, including Catalan companies, continue to profit from the occupation of Palestine, with the support of their respective governments.
